The Chikara udon/soba restaurant chain can be found throughout downtown Hiroshima. It's fast, convenient and delicious. Pay for your meal and receive a wooden ticket before sitting down. There is also a carry out window.

Directions
From Tenmaya corner:
Cross north over the street car tracks and
head left (west) on the main densha street. Make your first right
turn (@ traffic light). Chikara is just past the first block on
the right
From Rihga Royal Hotel:
Walk south towards the Sogo department store. Make a left at the
corner (you're now heading east on street car line). Make a left
at the 4th traffic light (just past the large Tokyu Hands department
store). Chikara is just past the first block on your right.
There is another Chikara across the street from Mr. Donuts, a block behind the Ford building downtown.
