Never rent a bad movie again!
iMovieMash is an iPhone web application that lists the new movies in DVD-Play's kiosk, Red Box's kiosk and Blockbuster, from best to worst, according to each movie's IMDb 10 point scale rating. Kids-in-Mind movie ratings are also included.
The DVD rental kiosks can be found in many supermarkets and drugstores around the USA. Daily rental price varies from $0.99 to $1.49.
Kids-in-Mind has a 3 number rating system, in sequence: Sex & Nudity, Violence & Gore, and Profanity. The higher the number, the more that particular rating category occurs in the movie.
Each movie on the list can be clicked to reveal a page that shows a link to Yahoo Movies, IMDB, Twitter, and YouTube movie trailer search results.
As a true mobile Web 2.0 mashup, we combine data from 7 sources, thereby providing very relevant information, when you need it most. iMovieMash runs on any browser, but has been optimized to look good on an iPhone or iPod Touch or Android G1.
Sometimes the Kiosk or Blockbuster's and IMDB's or Kids in Mind's movie title don't match exactly and we can't provide an accurate rating. We'll list the movies we can't match at the bottom or mention N/A.
Thanks Mashup Camp! iMovieMash won 2nd place at the 2008 Mashup Camp software contest. Many thanks to all those who voted for iMovieMash!
