Directions Find Tenmaya. Walk south along Chou Dori (the only street without streetcar tracks). Go for 2 blocks and then turn left in towards Nagarekawa. (There's a brown brick building here on the corner that has the Asahi Beer Hall on the top floor.) Almost immediately on your right is the building entrance for LéNon (and Marlene). You'll see an cheesy looking illuminated sign sitting on the sidewalk with the name LéNon on it and descriptions of shot drink packages, etc. The stairway is right by the sign. Take the stairs up to the 2nd floor and LéNon is immediately on your right.

Description This place has a great atmosphere. It's usually crowded, loud, and lively. There's a large staff of bartenders on hand (about 4 or 5) for this small place and they're all very lively and talkative. Lenon seems to attract the younger (20s & 30s), hip crowd of Hiroshima so don't come here looking for a dark corner to sip your cognac in. They have 2 television monitors overhead of the bar on which they have karaoke. The karaoke is free and they have catalogs with both English & Japanese songs. If you think karaoke isn't your style, go to this place just for a drink or two. Next thing you know you'll be thumbing through the song book looking for your favorite Bon Jovi ballad that you're going to impress everyone with... |
